I was having some problems with my router where the wifi would stop working if there was some heavy activity (for example, my PS3 downloading big files at fast speeds (3MByte/s)). PS3 and all PCs connected through WLAN would stop working, but those connected through LAN would have no problems.

So I decided to update the firmware to the latest revision from here:

ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2010/08-12-10-r14929/broadcom/
(dd-wrt.v24_micro_generic.bin)

And now I can't get speeds above 4mbits/s where before I'd get 30mbits/s.

I don't know if I just configured something wrong or if my router is having some problems with this firmware.

Can anyone shed some light on why both of these problems are happening? (the one before the fireware update and the one after)

(QoS) is disabled btw.

Thanks in advanced.
