I've been working on this for a couple hours now, searched and read, searched and read. I apologize if this has been answered before.
I've got a Linksys 350N that I have v24 mega latest build applied too.
It's been working and running fine for awhile now.
I've wanted now to utilize the usb option with an external 500 gig hd I have.
So, formatted following the How to Format and partition wiki that is on the site here. Once I followed the wiki on how to set up the router I am able to ftp in and upload files. (I did encounter errors uploading big files- more on this later)
I have the 3 partitions opt/swap/data and wanted to then move onto setting up slim samba and this where things started to go wrong.
When i terminal in and try to cd to /mnt it won't connect.
The following is what it says in the usb section of the services tab:
SO it says it is mounted on /mnt but something isn't right. As I said earlier when I tried to upload any big files I was getting errors. When I looked at the drive on a pc using a live distro of linux it has my uploaded files to opt not data.
So I am unable to telnet to install samba slim
I could resize the opt partition and just use that?
Thanks again for any help anyone could provide

if you are trying to use optware, aren;t you supposed to mount to /opt instead of /mnt? i believe that is one of the options in the USB Tab to set the mount point.
