Need assistance with Linksys WRT320N DHCP forwarding

I need help setting up two routers.
My current equipment is Cisco DPC3825(My current gateway) and Linksys WRT320N wired to DPC3825.
I want to set up in such a way so that DPC3825 is a DHCP server, and WRT320N just passes the clients and they are set registered on the DPC3825. I have tried setting up the WRT320N, but it has failed and i had to hard reset WRT320N. Software on WRT320N is DD-WRT v24-sp2.
Also my final goal is to set up both routers for the same SSID and encryption, so that WRT320N can work as wi-fi extension for my house.
