We have a large dorm style house that I live in. We get business internet from Comcast. 2 Netgear WNR2000v3 routers supply the internet to the house. Each are on their own LAN port on the comcast business modem.
One of the rooms is isolated from the WiFi signal due to a bathroom and thick walls. The signal literally does not exist in that room even though the router is very close.
To fix this, I have installed a router right outside of the room and connected it to one of the routers.
So I have modem

The problem I am having is with the third router. The Comcast modem handles DHCP and starts in the scope of 10.1.10.10 for 100 addresses. I have the router IPs being 10.1.10.2, .3, and .4 for the third one. All routers have DHCP disabled and no ethernet cables are connected to the WAN ports.
Although I have done all the steps that I believe should make this work, the third router will still not connect to the internet, give a computer an IP address, or even allow you to access the other router pages when using a Static IP.
Can anyone help me or guide me in the right direction as to why this is not working? I am stumped..
Thank you in advance |
