In this case, a "good home" is defined as that of a DD-WRT developer who will commit to getting the S/W ported to this router.

This router is new, in the box, in the factory shrink-wrap.

I've used DD-WRT on my WNR3500L1 for a number of years and really like it. I recently upgraded my home network (new modem and new router). When USPS delivered two boxes to my door, I investigated my CC account and looked at the shipping invoice. One charge and the shipping invoices both reflected the same order number. So, I guess Amazon had an unannounced, unplanned, and unauthorized "buy 1, get 2" sale on the WNDR3700v4 router.

Shouldn't this be in the "Atheros SoC based Hardware" section?

Not trying to be rude. I just purchased the 3700 hoping to flash DD-WRT and realized that it is the v4.
