Hi guys! I just bought a TomatoUSB based wireless router. I just want to know if I can change its firmware to DD-WRT?

here is the specification of the router I bought:

Specifications

Chip: BCM5358U
RAM: 32 Mb Flash Memory: 8M
Network Media: 10BASE –T: UTP Cat. 3 or up, 100BASE-TX:
UTP Cat. 5 or up
Antenna Type: 1 Omni Antenna (2dBi)
Wireless Frequency Range: 2.412GHz-2.4835GHz
Wireless Signal Rates (With automatic fallback)

Tomato is a firmare that runs on some vendors (linksys, asus, belki, buffalo, netgret, etc) hardware just as dd-wrt is firmware.

What hardware do you own??

Hi dellsweig, I just bought an OEM router that was rebranded by a local shop here in our place. However I found one OEM that is very similar. This is the one:

I would have to say without knowing the EXACT make/model/version of the hardware you really have no idea if the dd-wrt image is compatible

maybe I am wrong but thats my understanding
