|
I'm running DD-WRT on two different routers. They are in physically distant sites, and I'm using OpenVPN on the routers to bridge the two, separate networks. The bridging works quite well, except for one problem.
One of my two routers connects to a fairly fast cable-modem internet connection. It's at 172.16.1.1, and provides DHCP, DNS, and NAT for several computers on that local network, in the 172.16.1.1-127 range.
The other uses a satellite ISP, so it's very slow. It's at 172.16.1.128, and provides DHCP, DNS, and NAT for several computers on that local network, in the 172.16.1.128-255 range.
For some reason DHCP clients on my "fast" network get a default gateway of the "slow" router, when the OpenVPN bridge is running. This, of course, causes all sorts of problems.
Any suggestions on the best way to ensure that computers at each site use the "local" default router, but are still able to reach computers on the other side of the bridge? |
