Hey,
I have been super busy doing work related projects but have now been able to get back into the firmware and start rolling bins.. These bins have been tested on N66U 64K CFE and E1500, and E2K.. I am rolling the whole set.. What has changed? Tons of things, including UI changes, new OPENSSL, and lots of openvpn fix's.. The bins are now being uploaded to barryware's ftp and if you dont see your bin just be patient, as the whole roll is almost 1gb of space for all bin types.... If you have any problems or comments please place them in this thread and DONT open up trac tickets... DISCUSS HERE!..
link to the bins.
Edit: its now on basmaf's ftp as barryware is doing maintance on his ftp
ps: I am testing 5ghz driver for E2500 ATM, the range is poor so far that is why I have not added it to the roll yet, I am going to check out new SDK from asus.
Enjoy

Hi all, I noticed that the size of the firmware after downloading mega version is the same (8.2MB) for both E3000 E3200,Are we sure that it fits well in the E3000 and it does not become a brick?

yeah I noticed that too, I can take a few features out of mega and see if I can drop the size... For now on those devices that dont have 16mb flash use std_usb_nas

I just installed in two E4200 (I have another but is giving to me fail to update in remote) and the OpenVPN is working, but the log isn't showing nothing, only: CONNECTED...
Could you please have a look on that ?
I'm installing the E4200 version and I have been also trying with the NV60k and isn't working neither.
Many thanks as usual.

Mega-nv60k not flashing to E3000, just instantly says rebooting. std-usb-nas seems to be flashing fine right now. My best guess is mega is still too big (7.8MB though..)?
EDIT: std-usb-nas-nv60k worked on E3000 _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

Running ASUS RT-N66U with 64k patch, upgraded from 20363 to dd-wrt.v24-20656_NEWD_2_K2.6_mega-RT-N66_64K.trx, it loaded fine but was not able to access lan ports had to connect wirelessly and issued
nvram set vlan2ports='0 8'
nvram set vlan1ports='1 2 3 4 8*'
nvram commit
reboot
after that I was able to access GUI from lan ports,
USB LED is not lit up when usb device is attached, and also when there is a usb device attached the router will not boot properly, it crashes and can not access GUI. When you detach USB device the router runs normally.

If you needed to do that, then you didn't re-run the cfe update routine. The 1st release left the lan ports inoperable. The 2nd & 3rd release of the cfe patch fixed the problem. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]
