I bought an E1000 and I was wondering if there is any downside of the E1000 over the WRT54GL. This considering that the E1000 has been discontinued mostly, yet the 54GL still goes strong if you want to boy one.

Should I make the E1000 my primary router and replace the 54GL?

Also, what is the latest stable WRT54GL firmware? I still have the v23 on it Rolling Eyes.

Not that much is different only..

200Mhz CPU, 16MB RAM, 4MB flash, 802.11b/g of WRT54GL

vs

300MHz CPU, 32MB RAM, 4MB flash, 802.11b/g/n of E1000

I say the E1000.
