WRT54GL problem

Hi I have WRT54GL and changed the firmware with dd-wrt.v24_mini_generic.bin . How can it work as repeater , and the second question is , can I set lan port 1,2,3 or 4 to be the wan ?

This is what I used to make one of my LAN ports into the wan port due to the wan port being non functioning.
