with wdr4900 wan port connected to wndr3700 lan port
r24780
340mbps qos off
270mbps qos limit of 300mbps down/up + htb + fq_codel
r23919
350mbps qos off
290mbps qos limit of 300mbps down/up + htb + fq_codel
cpu was pegged at 99.9% sirq usage during the test, guess its not enabled then..well so much for that..
this was with netperf using a single instance of "netperf -H 10.150.11.110 -l 20 -- -m65536", double instance of said command resulted in the same throughput _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

Actually, Hardware NAT is only created by two constructers, one of them Freecome cpu's has just published there source code, that means that all the DD-wrt's could enable Nat hardware with this simple code.

you mean freescale? cause the wdr4900 has a freescale cpu, also post a trac support ticket with this info, if it is accurate it could aid ddwrt. http://svn.dd-wrt.com/timeline
its the best single core cpu out there that i know of, but iirc, the nat chip itself will determine nat performance as the workload is offloaded to it, instead of the cpu. like for instance the fastest internet available to me is 250mbps down with docsis 3.0 at an expensive $150+/month, this 800mhz freescale would be able to take that, WITH qos, just barely based on my nat tests i did(see above). the commonly known AR7161 @ 680mhz caps at around 95-115mbps with qos on going by various reports. powerpc seems very efficient i wish more routers utilized this architecture.. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)
