So far i have a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH (ver 1) and i am using DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/15/13) std - build 21286. Honestly the re-branded stuff from the factory was also rock solid.

What I would like to see is the router database would bring up a page that has a listing of all available firmware. Each firmware would have a readme that people would be greatly encouraged to read first. The readme would list KNOWN issues for that firmware and known things that work and list generally if the firmware was considered stable or not.

Maybe its just me being picky but i am a casual dd-wrt enthusiast. I don't like spending hours trying to locate a somewhat new build that most people agree is stable for my router and most features work. Doing this seems to require a lot of searching on the forum. I wouldn't mind downloading even 20 readme files and doing a quick read through on them to find out said information though and it would take me a lot less time.

Netgear WNDR3400v1

Best build from my own experience and research is 21676. PPTP and SSH work.
However, upgrading to 21676 Big will brick this router! Use 21676 Mega instead.

My routers perform very well and very fast with Kong 22200M. I would recommend this build, but it does not work for older devices.

Im running kongs 22200 k26 build on my f7d3302, runs very smooth. Enhanced with a few OTRW2 scripts and packages from the openwrt snapshot repo. Can handle transmission, pyload and owncloud running v on the router at the same time. I can definetly recommend this one.

Hi all,

I've got 1* linksys E3000 & 2* Linksys E2000, all are running a mega nv60 (brainslayer) version of build 21286, have never had a problem with them.

I'm running a few sites with Netgear WNDR4300. I've tried 22118, worked alright, seemed to freeze occasionally. I've installed 23720 at a few sites and it seems to run well.

I have an Asus RT-N16 and I've run DD-WRT v24-sp2 (12/20/11) mega (r18024) on it for years. I've never had big problems with it - Once in a while it needs a reboot though. I use VPN and not much else on it. I use WOL to wake up my NAS.

I have Netgear R7000 running v24-sp2 kongac build 24345M

It's stable with no issues. My only challenge is figuring out how to mount my 1TB WD external storage drive onto it. It's not simply PnP.

Like so many posts, it would be nice when reporting good results with a build that has both a new and old driver version that it is stated which version is being used. As example there are both for 24345. So when you say 24345 is stable for you it still leaves the rest of us wondering are you using new or old driver version?

And that, Bill, is the question we are all still trying to answer. Razz

For me, 04-18-06 Micro is still working great !

The up-time for this radio was 7 years and 11 months, but I just rebooted it since NTP had been disabled and I wanted the screen shot to show the current time.

someone was recently complaining about the length of my siggy, but they were right! it was too long.

In an effort to shorten it, this seems to be a good place to post my historical build/device observations.

This is all subjective so YMMV, but these worked for me...
