My model is TL-WA850RE(UK) Ver 1.21

This thread is titled TP-Link WA850RE

In fact every search for WA850RE comes back to this thread and to the very post i linked to?!?


My bad, I don't even remember when I have posted in this thread but I created a WA854RE thread and usually receive emails that people posted there, so without even getting too much into details I assumed you posted in that thread.
Anyways i'm sorry for my reply and can't help you with your problem sadly as I don't follow this thread.

just to let everybody know.... on us tp-link site under 850re repeater, they added V.3 so we will have a new version soon...

hi, today i tried to update dd-wrt with the leatest version for the 901nd v3 and i bricked my 850re V1.24.

so i opened it up (better say smashed the shell, its impossible to open it and i stabbed myself twice) and now i dont know the pin output for the serial connection.

does anyone know? pin 1 ---> tx, rx and gnd?

Ok i managed to flash everything back. repeater works. had problem with tftp server settings and firewall for utp69 but managed to do it... thanks

installed again dd-wrt on it,

should i try again a newer verson of ddwrt?

status says

DD-WRT
Router ModelTP-Link TL-WA901ND v3
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r28072 std (11/02/15)

i tried this when the flas went bad:

Just to say thank you, that's exactly what I needed for my WA850RE v1.2 to make it work in ethernet AP mode.
Great job! Very Happy

I'm with dd-wrt a few years on the WR941ND but want to keep it as bridged repeater, it doesn't work as cabled AP, right?
