I have enjoyed the performance of my E3200 router (running DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) mega). I have added a few more PCs and looking for the next "beast" router that isnt 400 bux. What would be a nice upgrade/replacement for this unit? Thanks!

you could just add a unmanaged switch to your network between the router and some of your PCs

i assume you just need more Ethernet ports to connect your computers

with a unmanaged switch your router will control the systems connected to the switch, think about it like a Ethernet splitter
