Let me preface this by stating I had 18777 on this tp-link 1043ND working fine for quite a while. But changed VPN providers and thought time to upgrade to latest firmware too.
So went ahead with 21676. But it wouldnt work. Hours later it worked briefly when I changed the WAN IP and then stopped after a restart or something.
I then went down to 21061 but doesnt appear like its even connected to the VPN service even once.
I saw there was a german FW to do but that appears to be only for routers with serials beginning in 12? Mine was 11 and WAN port had been working just fine.
Its driving me crazy. Maybe ive forgotten a setting or something I had had before......
Its a simply straight forward setup.
Modem/Router --- Network 1 with its own wireless
1043 Router --- Network 2 with its own wireless
The current connection (which has always been the case) is modem/router lan ---> wan 1043 router.
This setup would allow me to join main network for normal internet usage etc and can join network 2 for all vpn purposes. |
