Here you go, I change the amount of retrys to 99 just to give myself more time to plug the router in remember static addresses are neccessary, so give your nic 192.168.11.x (x) being any number have the utility in the same directory as the firmware and you should be good to go.

Listen DumbAss, the link is already posted here in this thread of yours, and it is also in the Wiki as you have been told in this thread as well. If you refuse to read and follow instructions, how many more times do you think people are going to try to help you ? Shocked

geetek, blow me. I'm asking for help because the wiki way doesnt work for me. Now, Mikeyman, this is what i understand to do. Go to start-network and internet connections, change my ip to 192.168.11.2 (unplug router), then do the utility. I have no password for my router, and i put 192.168.11.2 into the utility, and yes i have the utility in the same folder as the file. I press enter, and the plug the router in?

Thats what I did, the only thing I cant remember is if I put my Ip or the router ip in the server address. other than that it works like a charm.

Hi...this might help you...the wiki instructions are a bit imcomplete.
-set you computer to a static ip (in windows: start--> network connection--> lan (properties)...put a static ip in box...192.168.11.101 would work okay. Click ok.
-do again, but click on your network adaptor tab, and set to 10 mps Half Duplex. Click ok.
-do a 30 second ruter reset.
-with router unplugged, reboot the computer.
-connect lan cable from computer into a lan port on the router.
-turn off both virus scanner and firewall.
-open TWO dos windows
-start a ping command in one window:
ping -t 192.168.11.1 -w 1
(the last char. is the number one)
-in the other dos window type. but do not hit the enter key yet:
tftp -i 192.168.11.1 PUT code.bin code.bin

-plug in the router and watch for the ping returns in the first window. As soon as you see them, hit the enter key in the tftp window. Be quick.

NOTES: Use the Windows tftp utility, as the linksys utility only works with linksys software.
Code.Bin is the MICRO version of DDWRT, choose a stable version...0610 works.
Sometimes Windows is too slow for this to work, and the cure for that is put put a switch/router between the computer on the bricked router. Use the lan ports and turn it on. Addressing is not affected, other than they should not be the same...ie use another linksys with default addressing of 192.168.1.1 for the "in-between" router.
After it is unbricked (it only takes a few seconds), do a 30 second reset, and then you can flash whatever you please. The above commands assume your default router address is 192.168.11.1...if not change to what it should be.
Good luck
Bob
