hello I flashed the wrt54g ver 6 to firmware dd-wrt v24-sp2 7/22/09 micro, the interface is real nice and has a lot of options but I was looking to get snmp protocol can I flash to another dd-wrt firmware to get snmp or is that as high as I can go for that version?

the 2mb of flash rom memory limits the build this router will accept to micro.

hi which version supports snmp? or where is there a link or info where you can compare what you are able to get with each version when you go to dd-wrt firmware?

what do you need SNMP for? What solution are you trying to achieve?

if you want more features, you need to use a router with more flash space and a more powerful CPU. As my signature suggests, I like the ASUS RT-N16.

wrt54g ver 6. I know the flash is small on that one.
that asus where and how much is one, not trying to spend a lot for this. I am looking to get the snmp for network monitoring testing (just playing around with solarwinds) it uses snmp if its to much hassle or too pricey I'll might just shelve the personal project I actually got to use solar winds on old job so pretty familiar
