Hello,

-Is that the mini pci cards are supported by ddwrt:

R52Hn AR9220
2SHPn AR9223

- I just tested the card R52Hn AR9220 on Avila ddwrt 2347, the card is not recognized, normal or not?

- Then I will soon take the RB800 in ddwrt activation, is-that these two cards (and R52Hn 2SHPn) will be supported?

- This is confusing to me because I thought all the cards were supported Atheros mini pci, are there exceptions?

Hello,

Sash, I tested all upgrade with :

Avila 2347 + mini pci card 2SHPn (AR9223)

-Build : 14144, 14280,14311, 14896 and 20061 don't work

-Build : 12188 and 12533 work (the mini pci card is seen by avila 2347).

But the Tx-power=off :

lo no wireless extensions.
teql0 no wireless extensions.
wifi0 no wireless extensions.
ixp0 no wireless extensions.
ixp1 no wireless extensions.
br0 no wireless extensions.
etherip0 no wireless extensions.
bond0 no wireless extensions.
ath0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"dd-wrt"

Power Management:off
Link Quality=0/70 Signal level=-98 dBm Noise level=-98 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0

So, I try :

ifconfig ath0 down

@ Sash, it is not easy for me because I do not have much knowledge in this area.

I've read the wiki for several days and the various forum posts and elsewhere.

I tested different Build ...

But I do not find the answer to my problem

I went crazy and it makes me sick not find the answer (I'm serious) ...

Instead of telling me to go read the wiki (I've already done), rather it gives you more information to please guide me in the right direction

Now I wonder why I pay activations ddwrt ^ ^ because I can not use my material Sad

Hello,

Ok Sash;

I downloaded and I tested all the other files:

Downloads › others › eko › BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2 › 2013 › 07-24-2013-r22118 › gateworks_8M
Downloads › others › eko › BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2 › 2013 › 05-27-2013-r21676 › gateworks_8M

Downloads › others › eko › BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2 › 2012 › 10-12-12-r20119-testing › gateworks_8M

- None of these files have run the mini pci card R2SHPn (AR9223) on Avila Gateworks gw2347

- idem for builds : 21061, 14896, 14311, 14280, 14144, 13064, 12533, 12196, None of these builds are working ...

- when I insert the Mini PCI, led (card) is ok but I can not reach the dd-wrt administration :

-> not DHCP
-> disconnection repetitive LAN (computer)
-> computer message : cable not connected ... cable connected ... cable not connected ... etc ...

I changed my computer and cable even though I know that the problem is not there.

So, I tested the Mini PCI R2SHPn (AR9223) on another Routerboard, it works well.

what am I doing wrong for this mini pci card does not work?

Mini PCI mikrotik are not compatible DD-WRT ?

Hello Sash,

I connected the mini pci card R2SHPn AR9223 in Avila 2347.

Purpose there is no "WIRELESS" tab in the administration dd-wrt.

I entered the command: dmesg but no results

And

lspci -vv :

00:01.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR922X Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)

Status: Cap+ 66Mhz+ UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- SERR-

iwconfig :

lo no wireless extensions.
teql0 no wireless extensions.
ixp0 no wireless extensions.

Hello Sash,

- Build : 14896

- Factory defaults : yes

- Plug mini pci card R2SHpn AR9223 in Avila 2347 (the blue led is ok)

- But no "WIRELESS" tab in the administration dd-wrt (I can access the dd-wrt administration when the card mini pci R2SHPn is inserted since I flashed with Redboot last 2 days).

dmesg :

Hello,

- I upgrade Build 14896 to Build 21061.

- After the upgrade, I can not insert any Mini PCI Atheros otherwise it is impossible for me to connect to the dd-wrt administration.

- I get this error on the LAN computer message : unconnected identification, connected cable, connected, identification, not connected, etc. ....

- So I do not plug any the mini pci wireless card so I can get to your dd-wrt:

- dmesg: (Build 21061)

(impossible because wireless cards are not supported on the Build 21061).

- So I returned to Build 14896 and I use Ubiquiti XR2, works well.

- But when I try this damn mikrotik mini pci card, no "wireless" tab in the administration dd-wrt, it's really strange yet it is a Atheros chipset ...

Hello,

- I'll order and solder a male db9 connector because this connector is not originally present on the board at the location gateworks 2347 SERIAL PORT 1 (J5)
This will be cheaper and easier -> 1.05 euros.

- As soon as I finished, I will give the results.
