hi folks,
correctly i'm on DD-WRT v24-sp2 (02/04/14) and found some issues:
1. no JFFS2 available
Total / Free Size 6,912.00 KB / 0
Clean does not help
forcing nvram - does not work
mount command does not show JFFS2 at all ...
2. usb storage does not work
on web interface all usb features are ON
dmesg does not show any usb(lun0) available ...
i've installed dd-wrt to have print server + net-storage, but all this does not work
also haven't found the way to restore original firmware ...

for now: that's all i found
does anybody managed those features to work?
Thanks!
Hi mate,
I'm in the same situation than you. I installed DD-WRT v24-sp2 (01/10/14) std and I hoped an upgrade fixed the issues above but it seems we'll have to wait.
Have any of you been able to map a samba shared drive? Via Web it doesn't mount the drive and via SSH it returns an error msg:
cifs filesystem not supported by the system
Refer to the mount.cifs( manual page (e.g.man mount.cifs)
I haven't found a fix either.
PS: I opened this morning a thread asking if someone has the revert files for this router. I'll let you know if I get an answer.

Of course there ain't any jffs2, the whole flash is used and filled up with firmware.
jffs2 is not needed when the router has a usb port - don't be a cheap charlie, go out and buy a small usb flash stick. Last years model can be had for a few dollars.

The usb power fix I mentioned a few posts above got lost/reverted but will be there in the next published build. Did you try r23204, the first published build for WR842NDv2? I think usb power was ok in that build..
thanks for your work here! and thanks for revert-firmware! (can i use it from WEB interface or some other steps\instructions needed?)
JFFS i wanted for installing additional FS support + some more packages
router has only one usb port, so as you know, there are no options to attach ext.storage+printer without usb hub ...
regarding print daemon - it works! finally i realized that p9100d already included into firmware and it works nice
