Hello,
I have tried to activate WPS button of the router.
Turning off radio - enabled
Turn radio off at boot - enabled
but when I press WPS button nothing happens.
Even when I select Wireless SSID Broadcast - disabled (save -> apply settings) WiFi continue to work.
when totally tired of not being able to solve the problems, I tried to revert back to stock firmware.
Searched for a way and found this:
and again no luck. web revert image dont work (upgrade failed)
tftp solution didnt worke either, No connectin being made between my tp-link and my pc.
I desperately need some help on this guys. Please!

Same issue here. Did anybody solve this?
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
I have v2.1 and while in recovery mode I connected trough LAN port 1, mine was requesting for "wr842nv2_tp_recovery.bin" from 192.168.0.66. And the Router's IP was 192.168.0.86.
After I gave it the correct IP and file name, it picked it up and upgraded normally.

Has anyone managed to get more than 15mbp/s on this router?
I bought mine in Bulgaria, and on both stock and dd-wrt i can only get max 15mbp/s. I have an ethernet cable providing 100mbp/s. But im think they sell fake routers in the country.
Just to make sure I am not misunderstanding your post. Do you mean your ISP (Internet Service Provider) provide 100Mbps? Ethernet cable is just a cable for you to connect between two devices' LAN (local area network) interface such as your PC and the router. A cat5e Ethernet cable can work over 100Mbps easily. If you get speed of only 15Mbps with stock firmware, there is very high chance that your ISP only provide 15Mbps to your place. However, if you connect your PC directly to the modem without the router and get a speed of 100Mbps, then something is wrong with your router.

100mbp/s is from the isp, they only provide an eithernet cable directly connected to them, I can get the full 100mbp/s connecting to the cable, but the router maxes out at 15mbp/s, doesnt matter if its stock or dd-wrt firmware.
If none can confirm the speeds that im getting with this router, then dont come to Bulgaria for routers.
edit:
Also i bought another one of these in Bulgaria, and its the same thing, 15mbp/s.
100Mbps from ISP is pretty decent but WR842ND is a low end router which has only 100Mbps WAN and LAN ports so it won't give you 100Mbps speed no matter what however 15Mbps is kind of low. I don't own WR842ND so I can't confirm that the WAN throughput is only 15Mbps. Please check QoS setting and make sure it is disabled as it will limit the bandwidth. To make the best use of your 100Mbps Internet, you better get a router that have Gigabit (1000Mbps) WAN and LAN ports such as WR1043ND or WDR3600.
