Hi All
I bought a WR842ND because I had great experience with it combined with DD-WRT, bummer was that hardware version 1.x is not available anymore. I did try to install the current dd-wrt firmware but the tp-link upgrade interface throws a hardware mismatch error.

I am willing to donate to get this to work, as I did buy 10 devices for a school project. I did also check out the 1043 TP-Link routers and those have newer hardware as well.
WR842NDv2 is a router that can get dd-wrt support if the developers in Germany gets a donated router to work on, I don't know if that was the kind of donation you had in mind.
It is most likely not available worldwide at the moment, it got its FCC approval 5th of November and distributors tend to sell out the old models before ordering the new ones.
It may therefore not be available in Germany until later in which case a donated router is much better than a monetary donation.

Yes I would like to donate the price of the device + a little extra, do you know whom I should contact ? I do not know the price of the device in Germany or wherever the team is located.

The German customs has recently started to return devices without a CE approved power adapter (due to many accidents with dangerous non-approved adapters) so make sure it has the CE marking.
The adapter may not even be needed, I think the developers already have a suitable one.

Guys, just wanted to let you know i already sent one. Sent it last week, 1st followed the steps that LOM suggested and got reply from admins in minutes.
After all the info i sent one via UPS, they received it at germany this past Friday 22nd =)
So they have one v2.0 in their hands now, lets just send good vibes and LETS DONATE SOME $$$ for the cause if needed.
I have just donated some EUR for the cause along with the router and shipping. Please guys i really need it or else will get hammered by clients on monday =(
