did you remember to do a hard reset after flashing?

Also, what kind of connection do you have? Cable? DSL?

if you did th hard reset it should, basically, be the same as the Motorola firmware.

If I had to guess, I would say that you have a MAC address issue. Probably the router's MAC address is now something like 00:11:22:33:etc., and the cable box is expecting something else. if so, you need to do a

nvram set et0macaddr=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx (your mac address on the sticker)
nvram commit

and then reboot the router. All should be well after that.

Good luck.

You can either telnet into your router, or under "Commands" on the "Administration" tab.

Also, unless your cable people require the MAC to be registered you should be able to get things working by just power cycling the cable modem, followed by power cycling the router.

Don't despair yet. Do a hard reset and start from the beginning.

We need to know exactly what you did to make it such that yo ucan't access your router anymore...

I assume you loaded motomini first and then the full ddwrt? the problem wit hdd is that it resets the mac for the wan to 00's. Because of the incongruity, you need to power cycle the cable modem to release the mac address. That or do as mentioned, commit to nvram the actual mac addy. Telnet or whatnot. Since you are still able to get to this forum, you can do more research as well. There's a wiki dedicated to the wr850g.

OMG I kept doing hard resets, and power cycling and I got my wireless internet to work! I still cannot access the router page, and when I have my router connected I cannot get online (to get online I have to just use my modem)

ziddey- yes I was flashing motomini (I followed the wiki guide for WR850G's)... "commit to nvram the actual mac addy" How do I do that?? I have no idea what telnet is or anything, is there a guide with step by step instructions?

I tried pinging 192.168.1.1, and i tried a continuous ping while booting router, but nothing was received.
(I set the ip to 196.168.1.77, and set the default gateway to 192.168.1.1)
Is my router dead?
