AFAIK currently the only way to flash DD-WRT on a V8 is by JTAG. But I believe there is research being done to remedy this. See this post http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=17697

Tornado is working on a solution for flashing the v.8 via GUI. Not sure where he's at on it, but I do know he is handicapped by not having a v.8 in hand. He is relying on others to test for him. If people really want this done, someone should step up and send a v.8 to Tornado in the Ukraine.

JTAG is extremely simple. If you can read, you can JTAG.

That's excellent news!!

Here in Brazil only WRT54G v8 and WRT54GS v7 are found in stores (and in our most important source of hardware: Paraguay Very Happy ). There are no WRH-G125's, only D-link's cheapest routers.

We wait ansiously for DD-WRT support!

As soon as this is out, I'm getting one just to try this out Exclamation
I assume V8 has similar specs as v6 and v7 Question
That is, same RAM and FLASH size Confused:

Any update on this? I recently became aware of DD-WRT and ran out and got a router, v8 is what i got suck with.

I'd like to know if you need anything else to help v8 become a supported model.

Thanks Smile

BS, I was wondering if you could also develop a V23 SP3 micro version for WRT54G v8 and GS v7 since we are having stability issues with V24 RC2 micro in those low memory devices.

Thank you!
