I recently moved, and im trying to figure out why the WAN connection drops every few hours. The modem itself stays connected.

Im running an R7000 with Kong build K3-AC-Arm/24760M/ and at least twice a day I have to reboot the router, and or drop the wan link to get it back up. The temporary solution to this has been to schedule reboots, but I'd like the link to be fixed rather than doing half arsed solutions like that. Not to mention it would screw me over when im travelling and the VPN link remains down until the next reset.

If it were me, I would first try a factory reset. I know its a pain to setup the config again, but it just might do the trick.

Also, back when I was still using stock firmware I think I was having random reboots due to my ISP doing something with the infrastructure in the neighborhood. Anything like that going on? During that same time I updated the firmware and performed a factory reset on stock firmware. The ISP soon left the neighborhood, so between the three things, I don't know what fixed it.

Still happening. As always a router reboot fixes it, bit only for 6ish hours. Om assuming this isnt the same ås the infamous r7000 reboot issue?

Do you have a different modem and isp now that you moved? What are they?

I have yes. Living in Norway, I used canal digital previously. Using get now. The modem is ISP supplied.

I would start with an inquiry to Get as to why your system worked fine with Canal and has this problem with their Get Box.

Tried a few different routers now and DD-WRT is not to blame (yay)

Turns out the signal is coming in too strong and causing interference since I got TV on the same line, and in the same room. Suggested signals strength was 48-54 dB and im currently on 58.

Theyre sending over a tech next week.

Probably not a common scenario having both in the same room, but good to keep in mind. Only reason I do is to keep every semblance of calling away from my living room
