I am new to this whole system but heres the deal. I hooked up my nextdoor neighbor to a LinkSys G router and I want to see if I can plug in my Belkin G router in my house and extend the signal. Is this possible? My main concern is do the routers have to be exactly the same to do this? Please guide me through this, I tried to install the TFNT.exe program and couldnt figure out where the directory is to install the program... im so confused!

There is a basic level of knowledge and mental ability needed before you should monkey with third party firmware. If you can't install tftp properly, I am not sure you have reached this level yet.
If you want to learn, read the wiki about all the topics that relate to what you are doing, including tftp and how to install on your router. Also see my sig.
