I am trying to learn shell scripting and I have got a reference book to help me. The book is call "Linux Shell Scripting with Bash" and when I try typing some of the command in telnet, is not finding them...

Do I have to install some kind of patch to get all the command??

some of the command I am unable to run:
$ shopt -o vi
$ stty
$ history 10
etc...

Please help!
Thanks

After some reading, I think we have the original Bourne Shell (sh) instead of Bash...

Anyway to change it to Bash? Seems to be the more prefer shell... according to the books i am reading Smile
