semi-bricked mine with openvpn 9334 knew I should have avoided it tftp tranfers go through, when tftped with original netgear bin leds go back to normal temporarily, but router is inaccessible, and upon reboot is back to flashing power led help would be appreciated, luckily this is not my only router, so no emergency but any tips would be great.

Ok I figured it out tftped file must be in .chk format or else it won't work. Flashed with 9334 STD and everything appears to be working now. Very Happy thanks Eko

I just de-semi-bricked mine too....

Now to wait until OpenVPN is running, and then I'll be a happy camper !

I've got 9346 standard running with no problems. I think I'll wait on OpenVPN until eko gives the all clear...

Ditto on std build (DD-WRT v24 RC-7 (03/26/0Cool std - build 9346M Eko) working. Open VPN doesn't work (though TFTP does bring it back so it's not "bricked" per se Razz)

Try "root" and "admin" (without the quotes)....that's the DD-WRT default.

Yes, you need a .bin to do the upgrade, and Yes, the upgrade will work wirelessly as well as wired.

It's no surprise that you needed to disable your wireless to TFTP, since your wireless card probably also had a 192.168.x.y address.

For the upgrade, make sure you are going to the right place. From the main downloads page, go to "others" then "eko" then "RC7-9346" then "dd-wrt.v24-9346_NEWD_std.bin" That should do the trick for you.

Good luck !

jas

p.s. Don't try the openvpn.bin file yet, as it will semi-brick the router and require a TFTP flash with a working .bin file to resuscitate it.
