I have been running DD-WRT on my GL and v5 successfully for a couple years now. Today I decided to move my v5 to the back of the house and connect it to my GL using WDS. After I configured and tested everything, I moved it to it's new spot and couldn't get anything but all solid LEDs (Power and all switch ports were lit). After trying resetting it with the reset button, I tried the instructions here http://voidmain.is-a-geek.net/redhat/wrt54g_revival.html but was unsuccessful.

Shorting pins 15+16 would only power on to a flashing power LED but could not ping, all switch LEDs were still solid. I decided to try other pins and found that shorting pins 18+19 reset my v5 back to DD-WRT default settings and am now able to get back into the router to configure it. Default IP is back to 192.168.1.1 and username/password is back to root/admin.

Hope this helps someone else.
