This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build. (eg: 23194_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless.
If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.
NOTE: The last two test builds have bricked routers using k26 kernel. This build may do the same, so proceed with extreme caution! _________________ [I prefer answere in whole sentence]
k3.x builds are still showing 8.5mb size for the past three builds. i have an odd* feeling k2.6 builds will still brick. _________________ For people who are new to the dd-wrt forums >> http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html#rtfm

Usual rules apply. Flash only if you can recover via Serial. K2.6 users avoid if you can't recover from a bad flash, unless you like cutting yourself on the bleeding edge.
My info:
Build: dd-wrt.v24-23194_NEWD-2_K3.x_big.bin
Router: ASUS RT N66U
Reset: No (I'm lazy)
Feedback:
Put router into Recovery Mode after flashing, appears to have semi-bricked it.
Jumped back to previous SVN release and then flashed again, but this time reset to defaults and flashed OK. _________________ James

Proceeded to grab dd-wrt.v24-23194_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini.bin for my wrt310n v2 and performed a 30/30/30/ prior to the flash then upgraded from the gui followed by another 30/30/30 and the results, a Bricked wrt310n v2. Kinda happy to be the first confirmed bricked k26 router.
RT-N16 had installed Kong 22200M. Flahed the test build K2.6. Result: bricked.
Flashed back to Kong 22200M. Flahed the test build K3.x. Result: bricked.
Flashed back to Kong 22200M. Flashed dd-wrt.v24-21530_NEWD-2_K3.x_big. Measured speed: just under 62 Mbps. Flashed test build K3.x. Measured speed: reaches just 72 Mbps. I have 150 Mbps connection, so this is not good enough.
Flashed back to Kong 22200M. Measured speed: 145 Mbps.
Settings for measuring speed: NVRAM erased, set password, disabled wifi. No need to do these every time, since these settings were kept in NVRAM.
No need for echo 1000 > /proc/sys/net/core/netdev_max_backlog in K3.x test build, since it is set so by default. Kong 22200M reached the above speed without needing it (set by default to 120). _________________ 2 times APU2 Opnsense 21.1 with Sensei

Flashed from 22118 K3.x big to this Build K3.x, 2.4GHz is SLOW! Drops all the time, and USB shows duplicate info. Flashed back to 22118.
*Edit* - 5GHz works fine though.
Test on : RT-N66U
Successful webgui flash from 3.x 23138 Big to 3.x 23194 Big on Asus RT-N16. did not reset Settings.
thought i had issues with accessing the Webgui after soft reboot after flash but is fine now after doing a hard power reboot. _________________ Please state what make and model router plus the build number and type of DD-WRT you are using.
