hmm he said he had version 8.2 firmware. Not sure if that corresponds to v8.2 hardware.

The wrt54g V8.1 does not have the VXworks firmare.

It seems that Linksys wrt54g v8.1 works with Linux again.

Greatings,
jchuit

My brand-spankin-new v8.2 worked perfectly with the existing instructions.

I tried the same instructions that I used on my V8.0 with no luck on the V8.1. Keep getting a message that Upgrade Failed.

Thanks

Yes, 8.1 is different. Until we have one on the desk, it is unlikely to be supported by dd-wrt.

We need to see the boot up form a serial console on the 8.1 the GS7.2 should be ok, but cannot promise anything, or a wholeflash backup from the Gv8.1

Not sure how to capture the serial boot up or wholeflash backup. Any suggestions on how?

Thanks,
Randy

serial via serial cable
wholeflash via jtag
