I tried the sveasoft firmware on my WRT300N V1.1 and wow is it buggy. My NSLU2 could not be reached after the upgrade. The wireless was slower than stock firmware and took forever to connect and on the lan side the dhcp could take upward of 40 seconds to dish out an ip. Anyway back to the stock firmware and I am out 25 bucks because sveasoft newest version is the only one that support the v1.1 . I would much rather given you the 25.00 . Its not like this is some off the wall router... Oh well just me venting. Beter than just bumping the post
If someone could make a tutorial as to how to unbrick a 300n v 1.1 as well as how to get ahold of the original firmware for it that would be awesome and i mean like a tut for people who are pretty much clueless lol
ok, so i partially bricked mine. all the lights come up, but no ping. i CAN do the tftp trick after a reset, but it is not taking the firmware i'm uploading. the firmware that bricked it was BrainSlayer-RC7-9414. any ideas?

I have Talisman as well on my second WRT300N 1.1 (The one that is not bricked). I mentionned it in an earlier post but may be it didn't come to anyone's attention.
That being said I can also help with that.
Second thing, for my bricked WRT300N, since I had problem using JTAG to reflash it.
If I try to solder serial port on it, is there a way I can try to force TFTP mode from serial console ?
that would be a no joy on the wan port. here's what i can do.
set pc tcp/ip to 192.168.1.5/24
set up these two command prompts on pc:
window 1: ping 192.168.1.1 -t [followed by enter]
window 2: tftp -i 192.168.1.1 put WRT300NV11_1.51.2_US_code.bin WRT300NV11_1.51.2_US_code.bin
plug in pc ethernet to lan 1 on wrt300n v1.1.
push in and hold reset button on wrt300n
power on wrt300n.
continue to hold reset button for 30 count of one thousands.
pull power to wrt300n while still holding reset button.
release reset button.
plug in power to wrt300n.
hit enter on window 2.
window 1 starts showing replies.
about 14 seconds after i start getting replies in window 1, i get the following in window 2:
Transfer successful: 3703808 bytes in 14 second(s), 264557 bytes/s
window 1 continues to show replies indefinitely with no break in sequence.
trying to telnet to 192.168.1.1 times out.
only light on router is LAN 1 and it's flashing.
i pull power to wrt300n and then plug it back in.
window 1 no longer receives replies
after about 15 seconds, all lights on wrt300n are steady on except wireless and it's blinking slowly about every 3/4 of a second.
security light is not on.
holding reset button doesn't do anything.
