6.) Enter "Target address" to you router's IP
7.) Enter "Green OID" = 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.8 (or .4, see below)
8.) Enter "BlueOID" = 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.8 (or .4, see below)
so is the OID the last parameter? e.g:
"Red OID" = 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.6
"Yellow OID" = 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.6
to monitor the input and output of the wireless link as well?
Thanks,
Stu

Thanks for posting this information. I found that when I enable my firewall, I can't perform SNMP management of the device. Do you know how I would fix that? I assume using IPTables, but I don't know how to do that. Thanks again.

How do I go about setting up a simple website that displays the data reports from STG as nice graphs ? I don't want the hassle with MRTG (which is BLOAT when you're only using ONE router).
Maybe some webalizer like software but for use with traffic reports.
Edit: And NO, I do not want to code it myself. _________________ I own a Linksys WRT54G v3.1 and I am using DD-WRT
I suspect you also need to reboot the router, but maybe not _________________ linksys GSv2, Gv4, Gv2, GLv1, G-TM, Buffalo wbr2, whr, whr-hp, whr-g125, wli-tx4-g54hp, Moto wr850gp, Alix.3C2

Apparently, I am even below the level of "dummy".
I had no idea what an "OID" was. (A quick Google tells me it's an "object ID". Uh-huh.) I have a WRTSL54GS. Do I simply use the OIDs from (7) and (8) above? Even if the answer is "yes", how can I check on my own? (Edification is a good thing.)

Do you know (or anyone know) how to set the OID to monitor a specific port (port 48)? I have a Dell switch that i want to monitor on our Internet port. Our XO router will not allow SNMP.

Okay, Dummy here! How do you turn on SNMP on my WRT54GS, DDWRT V23 ??????
I'd like to give it a try!
OKay - I found it- 3/4 of the way down Administration - Services page (Dummy!)[/b]
Got it running now, but not sure what it is telling me. I'm using Windoze Task Manager to monitor my own traffic, and running Traffic Grapher.
It seems to correlate with my own traffic - but is it seeing other traffic on the other wireless connections? What is the significance of the green line and blue line on the graph?"Help" is no help (okay - I know it's free!!)
WHERE? I have a WRT54G V5 Serial starting with CDFB0 and its using:
I want to know how to turn on SNMP on this router as I think it doesnt come with a snmp daemon. I thought that come with the standard version of the software.
That brings me to another question, I search and search and cant find any info on why I cant or can install the standard version on this router.
Some one clarify please, make it easily understandable too.
When I attempted to run this on my Buffalo WHR-G54S with DD-WRT v 23 sp2 I didn't get any results when I set to the eth0 interface (based on info displayed by GETIF), but then I noticed that my WAN IP was associated with VLAN1 on interface 7 (eth0 is on 6).
