D-Link DIR-600 rev. A1 FW-1.01 will not flash DD-WRT

I have read the wiki and have what I believe to be the correct files. I am attempting to flash dir601a1-factory-to-ddwrt-firmware.bin via web interface as instructed. It fails to load. The error message states that this file is not intended for this router. I have tried a few times and get same error message. What could I be missing? Seemed pretty straight forward. I looked all over the internet for factory FW version 1.00, thinking if I flashed that in it might help. But I can not find it anywhere. Open to suggestions? Thank you in advance. Bill.
