Good day friends!
i installed the latest available dd-wrt firmware on this baby, and everything works fine as long as the wirelss is a "NG mix", if i move it to "N only" then the PCs wont connect but all mobile devices will connect.
I can have all devices connected only on "NG mix" any idea on how can i set things up so all devices work under a "N only" wireless?

Thank you for your time!
First off make sure all the devices you want to connect are N devices. If they are only connecting on NG mix than most likely they are G devices.

Ok may I ask what type of security you are using? WPA2 AES is recommended for N devices.

At the moment, for testing purposes, security is open/none

I don't see a valid reason for any N devices not to connect than. It may be a bug in that firmware. Roll back to an older firmware and see what happens.
I'm on build 26839, everything seems to be working fine over wired connections, but Wi-Fi all of a sudden became super spotty. In the first 2 weeks of the upgrade, everything was fine, but now Wi-Fi disconnects often and seems to be super slow.
This may be an issue with my AP too, but the AP has been running with its current settings for about 3 months now, so I'm not sure why that would be causing a problem.
Are there any Wi-Fi issues with the 26653 build? I know the May 9th build broke Wi-Fi, but is there one newer that fixed that issue?
Why not try latest 27240. But be warned, latest 2 builds 27147 and 27240 both have the WebGUI timeout bug: http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/4141
So you might try 27119. See the ftp link in my signature for latest builds. _________________ THERE ARE NO STRANGERS HERE; ONLY FRIENDS YOU HAVEN'T YET MET.

So the first build I try is 27240 and I got it working ok after a little scare when I added 35 static dhcp addresses caused DNS to fail plus no Web Admin. But I got it back working.
I started transmission on a client PC and the router keeps rebooting. I changed to the Maximum Ports to 1024.
What else should I look for? Will the backup from 27240 work on an earlier build say 27119?

Thanks
Don't use a backup made with one build to restore to another build.
Why on earth did you set Maximum ports to 1024 ? That's very low. Default is 4096. I recommend 8192 or 16384, depends on how many torrents you have. Try 16384 first. _________________ THERE ARE NO STRANGERS HERE; ONLY FRIENDS YOU HAVEN'T YET MET.

Hmmm, I would try build 27096. If still doesn't work properly, then go back to 26947. _________________ THERE ARE NO STRANGERS HERE; ONLY FRIENDS YOU HAVEN'T YET MET.

I think I found the problem. I was able to telnet to the router and run top. I noticed klogd was using a lot of cpu power when I started the torrent. The load approached 3.0
I turned of Log Management in security and it seems to work ok now.
