Feeling scared and Noobish, Preparing to Serial Flash my RNX-EasyN400 with DD-WRT.

I have been reading, I think I understand the basics. The most up to date information I have says I will be fallowing the same steps for this as you would for an RNX-EasyN4/ESR-9752.

I will need a USB cable that has TTL Voltage levels, and then I fallow the steps shown in these threads: LINK1 LINK2 and flash the file ESR9752 v.24 sp2 - build 12527 – 20090720.

Do I have it mostly correct? Is there any updated information? Any links that might provide more detailed step by step instructions?

Thank you so much. If this fails, then the router is headed for the trash bin.

Well, I am having trouble. I have serial access, I mash 2, I get to the step where I input the routers IP, the computers IP, and the filename, and then it keeps timing out.

I have a lan cable connected, I have my computer set to the correct IP, I just cant get it to work. Any help?

I have tried this using TFTP that comes with windows in a command prompt, I have tried TFTP2, TFTPd64, and solar winds. None of them seem to be able to interface with the the router.

Any help?

Everything looks right except that it will not accept the first block. My next step is trying to tell it to use a different IP. Maybe something on the 192.168.1.x subnet will work better, though I dont know why.
