We (Tornado and Eko) are starting big cfe.bin collection project. It will be used for improving router model detection and further software development.

It will also be used to help people with bricked routers to recover.

So, if you're prepared to help, please send your cfe.bin backup to:
cfe dot backup at yahoo dot co dot uk

This is how to backup your cfe: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/CFE_backup

Please include:
1) router model / version
2) fccid number (if any)
3) mode of backup (jtag cable / GUI / WinSCP)
4) flash chip data (if possible)
5) Any additional info you feel is important

Thank you!

What kind of information are you looking for, for the flash chip? Brand, and size?

As requested, I emailed CFE's for the WRT54GLv1 and WRT54Gv2 to the above address. Which others do you want or need -- or do you want everything we can find and get our hands onto?

There's a CFE for WRT54G3G collected by JTAG over here

http://www.linksysinfo.org/forums/showpost.php?p=319034&postcount=7

NB This is the 3G router, but firmware looks familiar!
