The only way we can get this supported is by sending a unit to the developers. If more users donate small amount maybe we can have it happened.

R6100:

CPU Atheros AR9344
Switch In Atheros AR9344
RAM 128 MB Nanya NT5TU32M16DG-AC (x2)
Flash 128 MB Micron 29F1G08ABADA
2.4 GHz Radio - In Atheros AR9344- Possible power amps (x2)
5 GHz radio - QCA9882 2x2 802.11ac/a/b/g/n radio- Skyworks SE5003L 5 GHz power amp (x2)

start with as much hw detail & pics as possible, & since its a netgear it should have telnet backdoor so also a nvram dump, kernel log & that stuff etc.

finally another qualcomm ac unit..but only 2x2:2 why..WHY.. Confused

I got telnetEnable to work on the first fw release. Wouldn't work on the latest.
Nvram show doesn't work.

http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2649/~/open-source-code-for-programmers-%28gpl%29

R6100-V1.0.0.52_gpl_src over 305mb

and here is a link to openwrt.org thread:

https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=50672

The closest unit to the R6100 is WNDR3700 v4, here are the specs from http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Netgear_WNDR3700

v4
CPU Atheros AR9344 @560MHz
RAM 128 MB
FLASH 128 MB
Switch Atheros AR9344
Radios 2.4/5GHZ Atheros AR9344 / Atheros AR9582
TX power 26 dBm / 22 dBm

So i am not sure if its ok to flash the R6100 with WNDR3700 firmware?

I would be happy to donate an R6100 to the devs if they would be willing to attempt producing firmware for it.

Of course, it is the only one I have and then I wouldn't need a firmware. heh.
