I have successfully installed the v23919 build on a Netgear WNR2000v2 - and as reported on other posts there is no Wifi connectivity - 0bytes TX or RX.

- From the menus, it thinks/displays that the "Radio On" that the Wifi is running and working
- I have been through all the menus re-applying all the settings - to see if there is a menu/config/saving issue - this has not made any improvement.
- The router does not see any other SSID's in the local area via the "Site Survey"
- The Blue Wifi LED on the front panel turns-off shortly after the unit is started and doesn't flash as I would expect
- It would appear that the radio(s) is/are 'off'

I have attached the "dmesg" output for the router to this post.

I'm new to debugging/inspecting dd-wrt - I'm more of a 'user' - but with some help I can answer questions and reply with logs/details from my router.

- What information do you need?

Many Thanks
- Mike

Learning fast... Now Telnet'd into the router and having looked at lots of settings -

and -

ap sta wet led wme pio 802.11d 802.11h rm cqa mbss16 afterburner ampdu amsdurx amsdutx acktiming rxchain_pwrsave radio_pwrsave bcm_dcs

typed -

root@router:~# wl radio up

and the WIFI is now working!

- Needs some more research, but this is something "simple-ish" and configuration-related rather than a build-break.

Many Thanks

As reported already by others, there is no radio whatever I do to make it operate!!!!

I guess there is a bug here Sad

At least for Netgear WNDR3400 & some others.

Pierre

P.S: What firmware has the closest features as of 23919 and is known to be fully functional?

On a GUI 'Restart' or from power-up I do not have any Wifi connectivity and need to Telnet login and and use the command -

wl up

and then, immediatly, the Blue Wifi LED starts flashing and the the WIFI starts - all good!!

Two "things" I've noticed -
1. wl bands - only displays "b" (this might be okay, I've never noticed this before)
2. Via the GUI I see "more than usual" Wireless TX Errors? Again - no metrics on this...

Many Thanks

No immediate issues with my e3000 following a flash to 23919 K3.x_mega. Did reset. Previous build was 21676 3.x_mega-e3000.

There is still something "odd" going-on. I have now upgraded a second Netgear WNR2000v2 Router.

For reasons I can't explain, this router does not transmit any WiFi and using the "wl up" command via the Telnet interface doesn't work.

Using -

wl ssid

replies with the correct SSIS name. However, when you use the -

wl status

the mac address for the Wireless Interface is always all "0's" - 00:00:00:00

I have reverted back to the b21061 which works immediately.

Hope this helps?

Same as many others, loss of wireless radio. For both 2.4 ghz and 5ghz. Radio is turned off. Can't turn on. Didn't even see options to turn it on. Didn't even see a 5ghz setting. 2.4 ghz was seen but but no wireless radio options. Reloaded "build 23838" everything back up and running normally.

dd-wrt.v24-23919_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e2000 running no issues (so far: Time: 11:21:08 up 14:24)
Serves guest WLAN, basic setup besides that. SSH and HTTPS used for admin (as always, telnet and HTTP (cleartext AuthN) is bad Smile)

I used the 21676 trailed e3000 first. Then on 23919 I only used the mega - dd-wrt.v24-23919_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega.bin.

Edit:
So here is the path I took on an e3000:
23838 e3000 mini – dd-wrt.v24-23838_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e3000.bin
21676 e3000 trailed – dd-wrt.v24-21676_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e3000.bin
23919 mega – dd-wrt.v24-23919_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega.bin

Hi jrscs,

thanks for your migration path - worked like a charm Smile

WLAN does not work on a Linksys E1000. Seems to be broken a few version ago http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=892315
