D-link DIR-601A on r16214 "upgrade failed" error

I flashed my DIR-601 A (Chipset AR7240) successfully to v24-preSP(2-17-11) -r16214 as listed on DIR-601 WiKi http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/D-Link_DIR-601.
I tried to upgrade to v24-PreSP2 (Beta) Build 21061 (2013-04-22) which is suggested for my router on Router Database and whatever I do I get "Upgrade Failed" message. I followed 30-30-30 reset before upgrade, connected only my computer on static address to the router, cleared Chrome cache. I tried also newest test build 04-18-2014-r23919 , still getting "Upgrade Failed".
Any suggestions please?

I think I know what is the problem. I have been using dir601a1-factory-to-ddwrt-firmware.bin for DD WRT upgrade Embarassed
I should use the second file dir601a1-firmware.bin instead.

Yep, that was the problem, I am on Build 21061 and everything appears to work correctly except one thing:
The LED lights on all connected LAN cables are off.
Anyone with similar experience or suggestion???
