Hello all.

I was wondering if there's any command-based tool that could verify if my USB ports are really dead. Everything was working perfectly until a week ago. Haven't had any major changes in Build versions, until yesterday when I flashed Build 25309 thinking it might help.

I've reverted to stock, but it still won't read any drive, including the one it's been using for a year.

Both USB LEDs are on, fyi. I'd love some insight on this.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Everything else works perfectly, and I've never had any issues with any build. This is why I still have a sliver of hope that I can at least fix one port.

Try doing a 30/30/30 factory reset and, if still no-go, try firmware 23919, also with 30/30/30 reset before and after.
Also, try another USB device (stick, external HDD, etc) formatted as ext3 or NTFS.
Oh, and don't forget to enable USB support in DD-WRT.

Hmmm no dice. Guess they are fried. It's weird tho how everything else works flawlessly. Oh well.

Thanks for the reply

So the USB stopped working a week ago ? What firmware was back then ? So the USB not working doesn't coincide with installing 25309, right ?

I don't think so, although I have no way of really knowing when they stopped working. I only noticed it yesterday but I had been working with a previous build for the better part of a year without issues.

@raikun
It seems you're not the only one with USB troubles in firmware 25309. See the 1st and 3rd post in this thread:

You might wanna go back to 25279 or 25179 or 23919. Please inform us when you do.
