I have a Netgear R7000 using Kong's Build 24045M.

I have enabled QoS with HFSC/FQ_CODEL as well as HTB/FQ_CODEL. (I don't know if this a correct setting)).I have set a custom priority for a client by MAC.

It seems to work fine until I turn on adblocking with Privoxy with transparent mode. After I do this, The client starts using the full bandwidth of my internet connection, and totally ignores the custom QoS setting.

I can actually disable Privoxy, and after a short delay (10 to 15 seconds) the bandwidth usage returns to the custom values. Enabling it again results in full bandwidth use again.

I have, of course, rebooted the router. I flashed Build 24045M just yesterday, and reset to the default values during the upgrade process as instructed. This is my first use of the Kong Build, which is very stable and useful otherwise. I am a longtime DD-WRT user for my old router (A Linksys WRT350N v1)

If I've left any info out, just let me know.

I have no firewall or TC rules other than what were generated internally by the GUI. The router had a fresh (1 day old) install from the stock firmware (Only the initial flash, than the Kong's Build 24045M, with a power-cycle reboot in between).

If there is a way to generate a list of the rules created by the GUI, let me know, and I'll post them, both with Privoxy enabled, and without it.

You need custom firewall rules, see:

Thank you. I'll look this ticket over and see what I can do.

EDIT (05/24/14): I applied the custom firewall rule yesterday and re-enabled Privoxy. While it's only been running that way for about 18 hours, it seems to be working as I expected, and with no adverse effects.
