i`ve same issue as the last FW on my WDR4300 v1.7 cannot change wifi setting, always stay on defaults , whatever i do, it stays on channel 1 and AP mode, the only way to use auto channel, to change to a random one.And AS i see it just not broadcasting at all, no SSiD.
did some research, i see that you have changed something in Wifi, i use 40mhz bandwidth, it was working ok till version 23919 (it was called turbo mode in settings) , now its called Wide HT40 (20+20) and when i use it i loose wifi . but without it i have 50% less bandwidth, something there needs some more research!
Stopping here i am not trying it on my other Routers, as they are: the same kernel`s TL-WR2543ND witch had this issue too.And 941ND v3.6 which still has not working WAN port since r23598.

Router Model: Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH
Status: ok
Reset: no
Errors: Bricked when using webupdate from 24118 (continuous reboot). Updated OK using tftp. Been running OK for about an hour.
Router Model: Netgear WNDR3800
Status: Ehh.
Reset: 30/30/30
Errors: Setting the wireless security stalls the router and makes it inoperable, a simple power off/on fixes this. Performing a reset makes the Wifi disappear.
Gave up on it and went back to 23720

Upgraded from 23919 to 24160 via web gui after "erase nvram; reboot; exit" and with reset afterwards. This version is working fine for my purposes (DSL router, wired and wireless clients separated, no DHCP on LAN, OpenVPN).
Router Model: Buffalo WBMR HP G300H
(WHR-G300NV2 still on 22118).
Status: Working (except for radio-off button)
Reset: Yes
Errors: radio-off (AOSS) button broken _________________ DD-WRT on Buffalo WBMR-HP-G300H and WHR-G300NV2
