I have this router.

I don't know where did you get the 192.168.x.16 from, it's 192.168.1.15 that you should be using for recovering your router via TFTP.

Instructions on how to install a firmware via TFTP (debricking) are in this page (can be used for other firmwares, not just openwrt): http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/asus/rt-n10plus

Hi all, I'm determined to flash my Asus RT N10+ C1 to ddwrt firmware, but wasn't successful so far, I downloaded 2 files from ddwrt downloads for my router, the first is trx (21060) and second is a bin file. I was able to flash my router with trx firmware, logged into ddwrt menu but each time I want to flash the bin file in ddwrt upgrade firmware I get a message on my browser that I'm not connected and on the router only the power light is on, all other lights off. I've gone through the peacock thread etc but I'm stuck only with the 2nd bin file flash, can any pal here guide me step by step? Any guy here has any experience with Asus RT N10+ C1 router? Thanks a ton for help guys

What? You don't need to flash the two files. if you are coming from the stock Asus firmware you use the trx, the bin is if you are already running ddwrt and want to upgrade.

I don't do step-by-steps, the info is pretty much available in the wiki, even if it's outdated, if someone wants to do a step by step they should write a wiki entry instead.

Anyway, in my previous reply there's a link to how to flash via TFTP, if nothing else works.

thanks pal, I will do again the flashing of trx what you told me. What should I do next after flashing the trx? Despite flashing with trx there was no internet connection when connected with Ethernet cable. Any help will be much appreciated? Thanks

I'm sorry, but you should have a moderate knowledge of networking to be playing with dd-wrt. Read the wiki on how to configure dd-wrt.

Maybe it's better for you to go back to the stock firmware.

You're also hijacking a thread with a problem that the only relation it has with the original post is just the router model.
