Hi there,

one question please:

I'm living in a student dorm and I got a single fixed IP address to connect to the internet via the dorms network. I have installed a router with dd-wrt firmware in order to get internet via W-LAN for more than only one device.

However, I'd like to access some shared files/folders on other computers in the parent network beyond my routers sub-network. Is there any possibility to somehow configure the dd-wrt router to enable this? How would this be called?

As you may have already guessed, I do not have too much clue of all these things. Therefore any help or hint will be highly appreciated! Thank you very much!

PS: My router is a D-Link DIR-600 if this is important.
