some are in Polish others in EN language, thats no problem, after flash to stock upgrade to latest TL FW from their web, the word firmware in Polish its similar in EN, and always last menu on left is System Tools and third line is firmware upgrade, if you use Chrome browser it will translate automatic

Thanks. For some reason the router just ignores the file after uploading via web interface

You will have to flash via WinScp and before enable the ssh daemon (service)? If not, SSH administration will be greyed out and disabled. You need to enable both the service and the administration.

C/P from Omiez post from Gargoyle forum
Upload the file using Winscp in the /tmp folder of your router.

Connect with Putty and give this commands:

cd /tmp

mtd -r write /tmp/tplink.bin firmware

Every command at once hitting Enter.

If it is not the last version just upgrade normally after flashing this one.

hello

I am trying to revert to the stock firmware for a 1043ND v2.1

I have done everything as explained here but in putty I get this message

"Writing from /tmp/tplink.bin to linux ... [e]Erasing mtd failed: linux"

and no explanations

does anyone know what's going on and how can I revert back to the stock fw?

thank you

PS : I am using the file named "wr1043v2_en_3_15_31_up(130925)" from the site
ftp://tplink-forum.pl/orgin_bez_boot/

and I have renamed it to tplink.bin in order to write it easier in putty
