Kong's DD-WRT build 30185M - 2016/07/11 has been released: http://desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/

Your reports for Broadcom units are greatly appreciated !

This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build (e.g. 29440_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

Remember there's always the option of using "ddup --flash-remote <URL/filename.bin>". See "ddup --help" for other methods besides the "--flash-latest" switch.

I have two R7000, one router and one wired AP. Upgraded to 30185M from 30100M ... I'm still experiencing speed issues (every since 4.4 kernel), this is what I see:

- from router my MacBook Pro via 5g-ac I get full speed of 240mb/14mb (down/up)
- from router my iphone and ipad via 5g-ac is much slower, I get 40mb/12mb
- from router wired LAN I get half the speed 110mb/14mb
- from AP my iphone and ipad via 5g-ac is much slower, I get 40mb/12mb
- from AP my MacBook Pro via 5g-ac I get half speed of 110mb/14mb (probably due to slow LAN)

Highest build without speed issues for me is 29300-2/3 ... 3.x kernel.

Thx

Router: Netgear R7000
Updated via ddup over 29875

Initially the router works fine (wifi speed is also excellent), however after a couple of hours I lose wifi connectivity, then the GUI becomes unresponsive, and finally wired connectivity goes as well and I have to power-cycle the router.

Exactly the same happened with the previous build (30100).

Reverted to 29875.

R8500

Everything seems to be working on initial load. I noticed something with speed tests in the last 2 versions. When I first boot the R8500, I can get my ISP max of 230 Mbps on my ISP's speed test: speedtest.bhn.net. After a few minutes, however, it drops as low as 30 Mbps and thereafter, I see no higher than about 70 Mbps. openspeedtest.com and speedtest.net both still register the full 230 Mbps, however, so I don't know what to make of these results. I only mention them in case it means something to Kong. I'll keep running this latest version for a while to see if I get any reboots like I did on 30100. On 30100, I got a couple random reboots so I went back to 30000 where I had no problems. I'll see if this 30185 can replace 30000 as my "go to" version.

I have had exactly same thing. There is no difference of enabling or disabling the wireless (2.4 and/or 5Ghz). Going back to 29875 everyhting works fine,

I did look into memory usage:
Old version 29620M used 40112K stable for days
New version 30185M, with both 2,4 and 5,0 GHz enabled, saw increased memory usage until about 2 hours of usage and seems to stabilze at 44100K used memory, so a bit higher.
Now running test with 5 GHz disabled, after one hour already more than 65000k memory used and increasing!
This spells disaster

I have screen shots of the TOP and I can post them if necessary

Temperature of CPU was also about 5 degrees higher: 67 instead of 62 with 29620M.
