Hi Guys,

I currently have two networks running in my home, that terminate in different rooms (for various different reasons its just ended up this way).

I think a diagram explains this best,

I currently have the networks joined with static routes via a debian box that fortunately has dual nics.

However for media sharing purposes and being able to access dnla and nas shares, I would like to amalgamate the two networks using the 192.168.1.0/24 lan and use the 217.x FTTC connection for internet access for all of the devices whilst still maintaining the VM Cable gateway on the N16 for failover/redundancy if and when needed.

See diagram

Any advice on the best way to achieve this or a good starting point?

Thanks
