The last days the dd-wrt is whalmed with spam but it seems that no one is taking note of it. In the FAQ there's no answer how to report spam and as i did answer here in the forum that posts are spamming i got no response. So my question is: how to report spam so that moderators/administrators could bann this users?

Couldn't it be updated so that there'll be a button for reporting posts? Otherwise i'm very wondered that admins aren't reacting since days.

As Moderators we do the best we can to clean up the onzy twozy spam posts...but when forums get full it will require an Administrator to clear the problem. I have notified one of the Admins regarding the General Questions English forum...its a mess.

We've been begging for years to get phpBB updated. It sure would be nice.

Thank you, but this is not the only (sub-)forum which is affected.

It should also be possible to report users which are only in the forum for trolling and insult users, as the user:

sm00x

Have a look at here:

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=265859

or here:

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=265851

or here:

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=264778

or any other posts:

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/search.php?search_author=sm00x

I think he has to follow the board-rules as any other users too, but he constantly insult users an has at least a very inappropriate choice of words.

+1 Smile

I wrote to brainslyer, which is an admin and he answered (very fast Smile) that mods aren't allowed to ban someone but admins of course could. He also removed the spam of the last days.

Thanks to brainslayer, too.

Correct...I only make a request to the Admins...I have Skype access to several Admins in the dd-wrt community.

They are quick when things are brought to their attention. The problem is as a Mod...we can't monitor everything...all the time....we are volunteers...not employees of the parent company.

But...most of us mods are here because we want to make the entire community of dd-wrt better.

Bring it to our attention first...the mods are listed at the top of every forum....we'll escalate an issue appropriately.

Are all of mods listes at the top of every forum online every day or at least one time per week? I've seen some that some mods, haven't created any posts since month or years. So, are the listed mods still actual? Smile

That's really right. But it should be confident that users reach the mods immediately.
