I've currently got a linux PC doing my home ipv4 NATing and ipv6 routing and border firewalling. This and other configuration like dnsmasq I've taken the time to configure and manage with puppet.
I've never used DD-WRT, but am thinking of moving these tasks to an actual router that's less power hungry, and has a WIFI AP strapped on too. Would it theoretically work to just get puppet running on a DD-WRT flashed router and have it set that all up on it? Or does DD-WRT do its own magic that would fundamentally get in the way of doing routing/firewalling/nat by configuring it as if it were a plain vanilla linux box?
