Got a DIR-615 without sticker underneath, trying to figure out which HW version it is.

I'm leaning towards D4 because of Mira instead of Winbond RAM. Comparing pictures here they look very similar:

Will I brick it if I flash the wrong one?

(If anyone wonders I've soldered a new antenna because the original one was broken.)

I believe DD-WRT supports rev D1 to D4.

But DD-WRT for DIR-615 rev. D firmware will brick the later D5 model which uses a later RT3352 SoC.

I think I also read the D5 does not have Emergency Room, so there is no way of unbricking it.

Right, checking which SoC (Platform) is used on your router will give you an idea which hardware version is it.

Check this for more information: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices#D-Link

@bob8

Thanks. Yes I know which versions are supported, and as I said I'm also certain it's either a D3 or a D4, not a D5.

@js1662

Thanks, but D3 and D4 uses the same SoC.

The reason I asked was because the factory-webflash.bin pointed to a different directory for D3/D4. But I compared the files and they were identical, so it's now running DD-WRT.
